Artist and writer Lisa Jayne Wylde was born in Essex, South East England, and studied art at Southend Tech in the late 1980s. She moved to Brighton at the end of the 20th century.
Lisa has been actively immersed in the counterculture since the mid 1980s. Visual art (painting and scalpel cut pictures) are constant, but she expanded her artform to performance in the 2000s. She is the vocalist / lyricist / artist for the band MAP 71.
Drawing inspiration from the transgressive subcultures she has experienced, and assisted by synesthesia, Lisa believes in the power of alchemy in her artistic process: the threshold where she loses control of her creation and becomes a tool for the creative energies.
Lisa is an existential instinctive pagan who loves nature, dancing, and sleep.
